AAUW advances gender equity for women and girls through research, education, and advocacy. The Greater Naples AAUW Charitable Foundation, Inc. (the “Foundation”), a 501(c)(3) public charity founded in 2001, and its founding organization, the AAUW Greater Naples Branch, are affiliates of AAUW.
The Foundation promotes equity, education, and development of opportunities for local women and girls that enable them to realize their full potential. It annually awards scholarships to deserving local women, annually supports the AAUW Greater Naples Branch STEAM program for 5th-grade girls, annually supports the AAUW Greater Naples Branch Reading is Fun! program, and supports local AAUW StartSmart workshops offered by the Branch. These programs, described on the “Programs” page, are made possible by the generous donations of members of the AAUW Greater Naples Branch and other donors, the proceeds of fundraising events and generous donations for the STEAM Program for 5th-grade Girls from Arthrex (lead donor), Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Publishing Company, Susie Mehas & John R. Woods Properties, and an anonymous gift from a donor-advised fund of Fidelity Charitable Trust.
